Enablers ?
Seems that these days Christian leaders are bigger enablers than those of the world! Do you think people will repent if they only hear about how much God loves them? During Jesus’s ministry “… one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. ..+..” (Mathew 19:16-21) “He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. …. “ (John 12:25-26) Did we receive the lie that man is basically good so wide is the gate that enters into the Kingdom of Heaven or do we know the bible / truth ? “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Mathew 7:14) “strait” translates from the Greek as “narrow with many obstacles” !
One of the main obstacles is our flesh / carnal mind, for “…the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. “(1Cor 2:14) Like it says in (Isaiah 53:6) “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all” so we need to be born again; “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3) and “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” (1 John 3:9) This is where the Weslyan-Armenian doctrine enforces or reveals that stumbling from sin and continuing in sin are two different things instead of saying we are all sinners so don’t worry about being overcommers. “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” (Gal 5:24) As Jesus confirms through John in the book of Revelations chapter 2 “And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.And I will give him the morning star.He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” (Rev 2:25-29)
“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” (Gal 5:13) “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” (Romans 13:112) and
“While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light…” (John 12:36)
Jesus talked about how we need to build our houses upon the Rock “.. whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and … “ (Mathew 7:24-27) “Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” (1Cor 3:13-15)
