Abide in His Love
We finally started to glorify God when we accepted the sacrifice Jesus did for us and confessed we needed a Savior wanting out of the bondage sin had put us in. We acknowledge that only through His one-time sacrifice on the cross was there to be atonement/payment for sins and we could enter into the new covenant / agreement where we would be His people and he the God of Israel would be our one and only God, thereby also justified to receive his life giving Holy Spirit and our names put into “the book of life.”
After one confesses before others that we have sinned and want forgiveness, then we also show our commitment toward Jesus by being baptized. The “renewing and regenerating” process begins as we obey His word and “die” to the old self / carnal man. “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”(Gal 5:24-25) “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”(Romans 12:2) Jesus said “If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” (John 14:15-17) “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. (John 15:10-11) “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” (Rev 3:5) “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” (1 Peter 4:17-18) “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:11-12) Know the Word and share Him — “Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;” (Luke 12:35)
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” (Eph 3:20-21)
